raining day

Finally some rain.

Addy and I have been kind of lazy today. Besides a little cleaning/organizing, we’ve just been hanging and playing. Sissy had a playdate with a friend from the bus today so we are just waiting for her to get home and tell us about her day. Addy decided to skip her nap so I have a feeling she will be crashing early and so will I! Here are a few pics of her from our lazy day and Addy showing off her new favorite shoes.

These two don’t seem to mind waiting for their brother and sister to get off the bus!

Tumbling Tot

Bubba seemed to have a good time at gymnastics today with her buds Emelia and Riley. The new place is a lot bigger and the coach did allow us to go in with them at one point so I could get a few pics.

I’m ready to go!

My First’s First Day of First Grade

Well today was the big day. Summer is over and school is back in session. Evelyn bounced out of bed and was quickly ready to get to school. This of course will all change but I greatly enjoyed her enthusiasm. We did take her to the doctor yesterday because she had been complaining all weekend that her throat and tongue hurt. Doctor said it is just viral and will run its course.  Bubba is missing her already but will be distracted by gymnastics this morning.  She is starting a new class at a new location. Looking forward to seeing her in action with her two friends Riley and Emelia. Hopefully I will be able to take pictures and share with you.

Hanging, Chilling, Playing

It is hard to believe the summer is almost over and the girls are headed back to school. Evelyn starts on Tuesday, August 25th and Addy starts after Labor Day. Where has the time gone!? The girls are also starting gymnastics again and have been practicing at home. Addy has started to use furniture for back walk-over's so I’m glad the season is starting again. We are spending our last days swimming, having play dates, and getting back into a night time routine. Unfortunately, Mommy has been sleeping in way too long and 6:15 a.m. will be a big shocker to my system. Poor me, right?!

Let’s see, what else is happening here? Today I had to take Addy to the Drs. She hasn’t been eating and seemed stressed at night when she is supposed to be sleeping (naps too). Plus, her voice is raspy and she is complaining her ear hurts. Dr. said she has swimmers ear and then also swabbed for strep. That came back negative but they did send if off to be cultured. In the meantime, no getting water in her ears (yea, right!). How am I supposed to keep her out of the pool?  Her latest complaint is that her tongue hurts. Not sure what that means but if it continues I will have to call the Dr. back.  Tomorrow we get to meet Evelyn’s teacher and visit her classroom.  She says she is a mixture of nervous, excited and scared.  She also starts gymnastics tomorrow.

Addy has been using the potty a lot. Most the time it is me asking her if she needs to go, but she does tell us 1/4 of the time. She is as crazy as ever. I’m A little nervous about her starting school since she is going through a pushing/hitting stage. Otherwise, she will do great. Here are some random photos of the girls and some friends (Jack & Riley) this week.

My Mates are Back

Saturday we made the trip to Savannah to meet Brian’s family and the girls. Instead of doing the quick turn around, we stayed for the night and took in some of the sights the next day. The city is so beautiful but my lack of photography skills does not do it justice. Someday I will master this thing. The trip was short but we did manage to take a trolley tour, walk River Street and hit our favorite candy shops there. We are settling back in with only a little of what I like to call “aftermath”.  A small price to pay for them enjoying time alone with their family.

Sorry, working on getting this album to work!

16 hours

This week has been filled with so much: Chillin, Quiet Time, Shopping, Eating, Drinking, Friends, Quiet Time, Shopping, Decorating, Organizing, Catching up on TV Shows backlogged on DVR and maybe a little Shopping! Shh, don’t tell the boss.  We (our should I say I since Brian has been working all week) have enjoyed our Stay-cation while the girls are living the life of luxury in Florida with Grandma, Grandpa & Uncle Tom and Aunt Cheri but are SO excited to see them tomorrow. 16 more hours and I get to see my darling blondes.  IMG_0355
